Patient data possibly compromised
North Carolina hospital says missing computer storage device contained sensitive data on 1,700 former patients
Pitt County Memorial Hospital in North Carolina has reportedly lost a computer storage device containing the sensitive information of 1,700 former patients, according to a report published by witn.com.
Patent names and Social Security numbers were reportedly placed on a USB drive to move it to another computer and was later noticed missing from its storage location by employees.
