IMS Conferences to host Intelligent Video 2010

Conference to focus on new applications for video in a variety of markets

IMS Conferences announced this week that it will be hosting the inaugural "Intelligent Video – A Revolution in Visually Intelligent Applications Conference" in Los Angeles on Dec. 9.

According to a statement, the conference is a spin-off on the Video Content Analysis Conference Series and will focus on new applications for video technology in a variety of markets including retail and digital signage.

"Much of the video content analysis (VCA) technology being used today was initially developed for security applications but its utility extends far beyond the narrow confines of the security market," the statement reads. "The technology has the potential to radically change the retail environment in a number of ways both through digital signage as well as consumer behavior analysis."
