AICC seeks feedback on radios, frequencies

ESA encouraging members to take part in survey

In response to feedback being sought by the Alarm Industry Communications Committee (AICC), the Electronic Security Association (ESA) is asking its members to take part in a survey to determine the types of radios and radio frequencies used for alarm signal communications.

According to a statement, the information gathered from the survey will be used by the AICC to help plan actions regarding frequency reallocation.

With the exception of companies that use AES-Intellinet, AlarmNet or any type of cellular radio to send signals from a protected installation to a central station, the ESA is asking survey participants to indicate the brands of radios they use, how many and the exact license frequency (not the band) on which they operate.
