Company set to kick off its successful video technology training series

ScanSource Security announced Thursday that it is getting ready to launch its IP Workshop series for 2009 later this month.

According to a statement issued by the company, the two-day workshops, which train and educate dealers about the benefits of IP-based solutions, were attended by more than 320 resellers in 2008.

ScanSource Security has dedicated a segment of each workshop in 2009 for wireless education and will feature products from 14 of its technology partners including Alvarion, Axis Communications, Cisco, DigiOp, dotworkz, HID, IQinVision, Keri Systems, OnSSI, Panasonic Systems Solutions, Quadrox, Ruckus Wireless, Sony and Tropos Networks.

"These workshops were created to help our dealers learn more about the evolving landscape of the security market and to ensure they are on the leading-edge of new technologies, so that as the security market changes, they can remain ahead of the competition," Paul Constantine, ScanSource Security vice president of merchandising said in the statement.
