The Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) announced Monday that it recently completed its third Developer’s Plugfest, which was hosted by Anixter at it worldwide headquarters in Chicago.
According to a statement issued by ONVIF, 35 participants from 17 companies took part in the event that saw more than 130 hours of interoperability testing of ONVIF compliant products.
"The ONVIF Developer’s Plugfest has become an established meeting arena for engineers from ONVIF member companies," said Bosch’s Markus Wierny, chairman of ONVIF’s Technical Service Committee working group for Technical Support. "This latest event was no exception, and saw attendees from multiple vendors cooperate closely with each other to conduct several series of interoperability tests during two days. The outcome was great and confirmed that ONVIF is indeed a very stable platform to create interoperability between network video products."
The next Plugfest is scheduled to take place at the Security Essen tradeshow in Germany on Oct. 7.
