Background screening pioneer Bill Whitford, along with security advisory and management firm Hillard Heintze, announced this week that they have joined forces to launch S2Verify, a new, privately-run employment screening firm.
S2Verify will be headquartered in Chicago with satellite offices opening soon in Atlanta and Miami. The company aims to provide small-to-medium-sized businesses with a comprehensive background screening service using its Actionable Screening Intelligence (ASI) approach, a new search algorithm that quickly searches and analyzes thousands of data sources.
According to a statement issued by the new company, S2Verify will also address several current industry deficiencies, such as long turn-around times, poor customer service and incomplete reports.
"Right now, more than at any time in the past, companies need to know a great deal about their people, about who is representing their organization â€“ not just its products and services but also, by extension, its brand, reputation and future performance," Whitford, the companyâ€™s CEO, said in the statement. "What many senior HR and security managers donâ€™t fully realize today is that powerful new search-and-retrieval technologies can place a wealth of background information on a given job applicant in front of key internal decision-makers more quickly and cost effectively than the marketâ€™s large current service providers are ready and prepared to deliver."
