ASIS New York City Chapter to host Security Expo

Free event expected to draw more than 3K security professionals


The New York City Chapter of ASIS International announced Tuesday that it will be hosting its 21st annual Security Expo on May 12, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

The free, one-day event is expected draw more than 3,000 security professionals and feature exhibits from more than 125 product and service providers. The show will also host a morning seminar in which a panel of security directors and solutions providers will discuss recent economic challenges and look at lessons learned. In addition, the chapter will present its "2011 Person of the Year" during a luncheon.

"Security practitioners from all aspects of private security and law enforcement attend this event each year. It’s a powerful forum where peers and experts engage in thought-provoking discussions on challenges, solutions, and future strategies," said ASIS NYC Chapter Chair Kevin O’Brien. "Being in New York City allows us to draw upon the knowledge and experience of the industry’s leading authorities from the Fortune 500, as well as foremost security experts working in the public sector."
