TSA chief proposes new ways to boost airport security

Vehicle checkpoints, small security teams among the ideas proposed


According to a story published this week by Reuters, TSA Administrator John Pistole has proposed several new ways to increase security at U.S. airports.

Pistole has reportedly submitted several ideas to DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano on how to boost security in areas that travelers frequent prior to being screened.

Among Pistole’s ideas include adding vehicle checkpoints and using small, specially trained security teams to patrol airport grounds.
