Lab to highlight best practices for IP technology at ISC West

Technology experts to make presentations on protecting networked security systems

New this year at ISC West will be the BP.IP Technology Labs (Best Practices for Protecting your IP Security Systems), a daily seminar that focuses on implementing protections for your networked security systems.

The labs, which are sponsored by VMS solutions provider OnSSI, will feature presentations from leading technology consultants such as Ray Bernard, Rodney Thayer, James Conner, as well OnSSI staff and other participants.

"From small and medium-sized businesses to Fortune 100 companies, IT decision makers are being tasked with evaluating physical security system hardware and software to qualify it (or not) to reside on, and/ or communicate over, the corporate network," said Bernard in a statement. "Evaluations are not limited to just technology itself. Secure technology can be installed in ways that expose it to threats or make its connecting networks insecure. This Best Practices Lab at ISC West takes a close look at what security systems look like under that microscope, and what end users, consultants and integrators need to do to securely deploy networked security technology."

The Bp.IP Technology Lab suite, which is free to attend, will take place in Room Veronese 2503, located off the walkway between the ISC West Exhibition Hall and the Venetian Hotel. For more information, visit http://bpforip.com/.
