Wisconsin casino deploys IP-based surveillance system

Systems integrator North American Video announced this week that it recently completed the installation of a surveillance and security system at the new Danbury St. Croix Casino, which is operated by the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin.

The system includes 260 network video cameras, as well as a video management and integrated data manager system from Honeywell. The casino opened in July and includes more than 500 slot machines and 18 game tables.

"This was a fast-track project that we needed to complete on-time and on-budget without compromising performance, and North American Video came through as they have in the past," said Don Karpenski, director of surveillance, Danbury St. Croix Casino. "NAV’s team was also on-site with us through every phase of the project to assure our security personnel learned all the nuances of operating the new system."
