El Paso International Airport receives $1.7 million to spend on safety

Money can be applied for safety, maintenance

New improvements are coming to El Paso’s International Airport thanks to Sen. John Cornyn.

Thursday Cornyn announced a $1.7 million grant for the international airport. The senator said the money will be used to address needed maintenance and safety improvements.

The senator also said the improvements will help boost El Paso’s economy and commends local leaders for securing these funds.
