SIA, DSA to host webinar on PASS ID bill

Organizations to discuss what legislation will mean to the security industry


ATLANTA, Aug. 11 - The Security Industry Association has announced that it will host a webinar next month in conjunction with the Document Security Alliance on the new PASS ID bill which recently passed the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committee.

The PASS ID Act requires state motor vehicle departments to verify the authenticity of birth records prior the issuance of a state driver’s license.

The webinar, which will provide information on how the new legislation will impact the security industry, will include presentations form Kathleen Kraninger, DHS deputy assistant secretary for policy, Molly Ramsdell, the National Conference of State Legislatures’ senior policy director for state-federal relations, and Rick Outland, chief document examiner for ID Scientific and president of DSA.
