LifeShield Security announces technology expansions

Company adds GSM cellular backup, Wi-Fi enabled cameras

LifeShield Security, a Pennsylvania-based provider or residential security solutions, announced earlier this month that it has added GSM cellular backup protection for its security systems at no additional cost to customers.

In addition, the company is also introducing new Wi-Fi enabled cameras that can be placed anywhere within the residence to provide customers with a live view of their home.

Earlier this year, the company, which was formerly known as InGrid Home Security, announced that it had secured $11 million in funding and that it was re-launching itself under the “LifeShield” brand. Former NutriSystem CEO Michael Hagan joined the company as its new president and CEO last December.

LifeShield also rolled out a new advertising campaign earlier this year featuring former NFL quarterback Dan Marino as a spokesperson.
