Chicago police to utilize covert cameras

Authorities hope new cameras will provide them with a better chance to crimes on video

According to a story published this week by the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Police Department will soon be upgrading its CCTV network with the installation of new covert surveillance cameras.

Though the police department has had visible cameras in place to deter gang activity for nearly seven years, it is believed that the new covert cameras will give authorities a better chance to capture criminal activities on video.
