Mikros Systems Awarded Next Generation Command and Control Processor (NGC2P) Support Contract by Northrop Grumman

PRINCETON, N.J. , Feb. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mikros Systems Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: MKRS) announced today that it has been awarded a support contract on the Navy's Next Generation Command and Control Processor (NGC2P) program by Northrop Grumman Corporation.

In July 2008 , the U.S. Navy selected Northrop Grumman Corp. to develop the NGC2P system, a tactical data link (TDL) communications processor which provides warfighters with critical real-time information during combat operations. Mikros Systems will provide production support services at its new Largo, FL facility for the initial production runs of the NGC2P system and supporting Field Change Kit (FCK) equipment. Mikros will work closely with DRS Technologies in Tampa , which is producing the NGC2P equipment and also manufactures the Mikros ADEPT Test System for the AN/SPY-1 radar.

Mikros' new facility, located in the STAR TEC center in Florida's Pinellas County is convenient to Mikros' manufacturing partner DRS Technologies and other premier Department of Defense companies. This new facility will provide production and field support services for ADEPT, including Depot Level Repair, calibration, and upgrades to ADEPT units.
