The National Incident Management Systems and Advanced Technologies (NIMSAT) Institute in the State of Louisiana, USA , will use IntraPoint's Crisis Manager(TM) as their preferred crisis management software solution

LAFAYETTE, La. , RESTON, Va. and TRONDHEIM, Norway , Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- IntraPoint, a leading global provider of incident and crisis management solutions, announced today that the National Incident Management Systems and Advanced Technologies (NIMSAT) Institute in the State of Louisiana, USA , will use IntraPoint's Crisis Manager(TM) as their preferred crisis management software solution.

The NIMSAT Institute will also serve as IntraPoint's demonstration and implementation platform for engaging and coordinating the NIMSAT Institute's public and private sector stakeholders in disaster management applications.

The NIMSAT Institute is in the process of establishing an operations center that will coordinate disaster response activities, develop an efficient and reliable system to share critical information during a crisis, and train and support emergency managers. The purpose of the Business Emergency Operations Center (B-EOC) is to enhance homeland security and emergency management efforts in Louisiana by creating sustainable relationships between the public and private sectors. With a central command post in place, and an end-to-end software solution such as Crisis Manager to secure an integrated view of the resources and incidents available, Louisiana will be better prepared for future crises.

Crisis Manager will be hosted by IntraPoint.
