Report: DHS officers lose nearly 200 firearms

Some guns found in hands of gang members, criminals


According to a story published this week by USA Today, officers with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security reportedly lost nearly 200 guns in various places from fall 2005 through 2008.

The report, which was done by Inspector General Richard Skinner, found that at least 15 of the weapons were later found in the possession of gang members, criminals, teenagers and drug users.
