PSIA releases video analytics specification

The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA), a consortium of manufacturers and systems integrators dedicated to promoting standards among IP security products, announced Monday that it has released a new video analytics specification and is seeking feedback from industry professionals.

According to a statement issued by the alliance, its 0.9 Video Analytics draft specification "defines a standard way to receive, store and use analytic output."

The specification will be available for review by the public until Aug. 13, after which a final 1.0 version will be published. To register to view and comment on the specification, visit
