IP video solutions manufacturer Axis Communications announced this week that it has launched an official exam for the Axis Certification Program.
Security installers who pass the 50-question exam will receive the "Axis Certified Professional" designation, which signifies that they have a thorough knowledge of Axis network products and how they should be implemented.
"Since the network camera was invented by Axis 15 years ago, the IP-based video surveillance market has grown rapidly as more and more end-users opt to move away from old analog technology," said Axis Communications General Manager Fredrik Nilsson. "But with the ever-increasing demand for the newest IP technology comes a responsibility of vendors, system designers and integrators to ensure that network-based surveillance systems are properly designed, installed and maintained."
The certification test, which is being administered by testing and assessment services provider Prometric, is available in the U.S. and Canada for $150.
The exam can be taken at any local testing center offered by Prometric. Click here to register online. For more information about the Axis Certification Program, visit http://www.axis.com/certification/.
