Axis opens new sales office/training center in Canada

Surveillance solutions manufacturer Axis Communications announced this week that that it has opened a new sales office/ IP training center in Ontario to support its customers and partners in Canada.

In addition, the company said that it has also expanded its Canadian sales team, naming Reg Collins as regional sales manager for Western Canada and appointing Sophie Desjardins as Canadian account executive. According to a statement, Collins and Desjardins are two of 64 new employees added by the company during the second quarter of 2010.

The new office is about 30 minutes from downtown Toronto and features an IP surveillance training center, which is set to host its inaugural Axis Communications’ Academy class in September.

"Axis has seen tremendous growth in Canada since establishing a local sales presence five years ago," said Robert Moore, country manager for Canada at Axis Communications. "By investing in a regional office complete with an IP training and solution center, we will increase service levels to our great Canadian partners and mutual customers. Together, we can leverage the office as an educational hub to help drive network video adoption in our region by delivering top-notch surveillance and security solutions."
