Israel-based security solutions firm RISCO Group has announced a strong push into the U.S. security market. The company's initiative begins with the appointment of Len Friedman as president and CEO of RISCO Group USA. RISCO Group USA also has established a corporate headquarters in Melville, N.Y., and has appointed Robert Barry to the position of vice president of integration sales and support.
Friedman said, "launching the U.S. office is a milestone in the company's roadmap and provides the opportunity to realize RISCO's vision of delivering the most flexible, end-to-end security systems solutions backed by superior customer support services to the North American market."
Friedman, formerly with Bosch and Honeywell/ADEMCO, said part of the direction for RISCO Group USA is to expand the variety of the company's products which are available to integrators. A statement released from RISCO Group USA said those offerings "will be developed organically and through select acquisitions."
Although the headquarters and initiative is new, RISCO hasn't been a stranger to the U.S. market. The company has for years provided a variety of intrusion and access products in the United States (as well as world markets) and had done business in the country as Rokonet Industries. The parent company has been producing security products for 30 years, and according to a statement, for 20 of those years, the company has been offering those solutions in the U.S.
