Honeywell announced Monday that Ron Rothman, who has been president of the company’s security & communications division since 2002, will succeed Ben Cornett as president of Honeywell Security Group.
Rothman, who began his career with ADEMCO in the 1980s, will report to Roger Fradin, president and CEO of the Automation and Control Solutions division, according to a statement issued by the manufacturer.
“Ron is a highly accomplished industry leader with many years of experience building our security business, growing new and long-term customer relationships, and bringing product innovations to market,” Fradin said. “Under Ron, our stable industry leadership, superior customer service, brand recognition and new product pipeline will continue to position Honeywell as a strong industry leader.”
Ben Cornett, current chairman of the security business who had served as president of the group since 2002, will assist Rothman in the transition until his retirement next March.
