Acadian Monitoring Services attains UL certification

Company can now monitor facilities given a National Industrial Security System certificate

Acadian Monitoring Services announced Thursday that it has attained Underwriters Laboratories 2050 certification, the highest designation for central stations.

The UL certification allows Acadian to monitor facilities for which a National Industrial Security System certificate has been issued by either the Department of Homeland Security or U.S. Secret Service, according to statement issued the company.

The certification process began just over a year ago. Less than 10 of 3,000 UL listed central stations nationwide have achieved this level of certification.
