Security firm Andrews International has entered into an agreement to purchase California-based A&S Security, according to statement issued this week by the company.
Andrews International said the acquisition helps expand the firm’s geographic footprint in the country’s Western region, as well as provides it with expertise and resources in open-air strip guarding operations. The company will also acquire an additional office in Covina, Calif., as part of the deal, as well as all of the security assets of A&S including its guarding operations and patrol vehicle fleet.
In addition, Andrews International indicated that it will keep A&S’ current owners and employees to manage and service existing clients.
“A&S has created a very successful operation that has inspired tremendous client loyalty,” said Randy Andrews, chairman and CEO of Andrews International in a prepared statement. “With our combined experience and resources, we have a win-win situation benefiting both companies, as well as all clients. Furthermore, not only does this acquisition expand our security capabilities throughout the Western region, it creates the premier strip mall security model, one that can easily be rolled-out to other geographic locations to facilitate the further growth of Andrews International.”
The purchase of A&S builds upon Andrews International's acquisition of Garda World Security Corporation's U.S. and Mexican operations last year.
