Michael Cummings becomes ASIS president

New president to form relationships with other organizations, develop new initiatives

ASIS International announced Thursday that Aurora Health Care Director of Loss Prevention Services Michael R. Cummings has officially assumed presidency of the security organization.

Cummings, who has more than 30 years experience in the security industry, has been a member of ASIS International since 1978.

In a statement issued by the organization, Cummings said that during his time as president he will "establish both formal and informal relationships with like-minded organizations," as well as continue to develop initiatives that "meet the specific needs of various constituencies of security professionals."

In addition to ASIS International, Cummings, who holds a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University, is also a member of the International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security and has served on several other boards including the Southeast Wisconsin Homeland Security Partnership, the Editorial Advisory Board for Corporate Security, and the Board for the Avenues West Association.
