Report: Asia to spur global CCTV market growth

Asia to account for more than 45 percent of entire CCTV market by the end of 2012


According to a new report from market research firm RNCOS, the Asian surveillance market is expected to help drive the global growth of CCTV over the next several years.

The report, “Global CCTV Market Analysis (2008-2012),” predicts that the global CCTV market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 20 percent beginning in 2010 and reach $23 billion by the end of 2012. Over that same time period, the CCTV market in countries such as India and Malaysia is expected to grow at CAGR of around 30 percent with Asia as a whole accounting for nearly 45 percent of the total CCTV market by the end of 2012.
