Stanley Convergent Security Solutions continued it acquisition of Sonitrol franchises on Thursday as the systems integrator announced its recent purchase of Sonitrol of Allentown.
Located in Allentown, Penn., the franchise is owned by John and Carmen Steele. According to a statement, the sale includes mostly commercial accounts in the retail, restaurant, industrial, financial, service and education markets. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
"The Sonitrol of Allentown acquisition allows us to increase our market share in eastern Pennsylvania. As we continue to expand, we look forward to working with our new Sonitrol customers by upholding Stanley CSS’s commitment and dedication to superior customer service," said Tony Byerly, president and chief operations officer of Stanley CSS North America and United Kingdom Direct.
A provider of audio verified electronic security systems, the Sonitrol Corporation was purchased by Stanley CSS in 2008 for $275 million. Last year, the company acquired Sonitrol franchises in Georgia, Oregon and Washington.
