The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) announced last week that it will host an “Industry Day” for sports security professionals in January at the SAIC McLean Conference Center in Virginia.
According to a statement released by the organization, the event is intended to serve as a conference where senior security staff and others can join together to discuss issues and share strategies relating to issues that impact the sports security industry.
"Growth in spectator sport attendance along with the increasing popularity of pre-game activities, such as tailgating, has led to the development of large crowds rushing to enter venue portals in the few minutes prior to event starting times," said Steve Miller, director, systems integration at NCS4. "This Industry Day will serve as a forum for end users and solutions providers to hear from experts in the topic area and learn about measures currently being taken to address these issues."
