Todd Pedersen, CEO of residential security firm APX Alarm Security Solutions, has been named the winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 award in the services category for the Utah Region.
According to a statement, the award recognizes "outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses." The award, which was voted on by an independent panel of judges, was presented to Pedersen at an event held earlier this week.
"“It’s an honor to be nominated as a finalist, let alone winning the award," said Todd Pedersen. "I am thrilled to work with the executive team and all of the APX employees on a daily basis who are committed to do one thing – protecting families."
As the award winner for the Utah Region, Pedersen will be eligible for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 national program. Award winners will be announced at an annual awards event in Palm Springs, Calif., on Nov. 13.
