Mace Security International, a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of surveillance and personal protection solutions announced last week that it has officially closed on its deal to acquire wholesale security monitoring firm Central Station Security Systems.
The California-based monitoring company, which was purchased for $3.6 million, will become a part of Mace’s new Security Services division, according to a statement.
Mace has hired industry veteran Peter P. Giacalone to serve as president of the new division. Morgan Hertel has also been brought in to serve as director of operations for the central station, which will now be known as Mace CSSS, Inc.
“We are very excited about this acquisition and with the addition of Peter and Morgan to our team,” said Mace President and CEO Dennis Raefield. “CSSS is an established company with excellent customer service and loyal customers, and we are confident that Peter will be able to spearhead more aggressive growth and develop a unique commercial dealer program that will support CSSS’s and Mace’s customers alike.”
