SIAC accepting applications for 5th Annual Police Dispatch Quality Award

Award recognizes companies who take a proactive role in reducing unnecessary police dispatches

ATLANTA, Nov. 19, 2009 - The Security Industry Alarm Coalition announced late last month that it is now accepting nominations for the 5th Annual Police Dispatch Quality Award.

The award, which was created by the SIAC and the False Alarm Reduction Association, recognizes companies that take a proactive role in reducing unnecessary police dispatches, according to a statement issued by the organization. The winning company will receive $1,000 to spend on hotel and airfare to attend ESX 2010 next June in Pittsburgh, Pa.

“Working together with law enforcement should be the cornerstone for all security companies across North America,” said Stan Martin, executive director of SIAC. “This is our fifth year of the award, and the entries keep growing, which shows we’re impacting the security industry, communicating why this is important, and spreading the message.”

Those who want to participate must mail an application postmarked by Feb. 28. For more information or to download the application, visit www.siacinc.org.
