The Security Industry Association announced this week that it has commissioned two new field studies to examine physical security and security project management knowledge.
According to SIA, the studies will help shape training, education and certification opportunities for industry professionals.
“We think the information we will get from the studies will help us to refine our security project management certification and help us to identify other training and education opportunities that will help security professionals prepare for that certification,” said Arminda Valles-Hall, director of education and training for SIA.
The Physical Security Field Study is open to all security professionals, while the Security Project Management Field Study is open to all those with security project management experience. The studies are scheduled to close on June 10.
