ICx makes upper management changes

Virginia-based ICx Technologies, a manufacturer of sensor solutions for the homeland security market, announced last week that Colin Cumming, the company’s chief technology officer and president of its detection business unit, has been promoted to President and CEO.

Cumming succeeds Hans Kobler, who will remain executive chairman of ICx Technologies’ board and focus his attention on growth initiatives, according to a statement issued by the company.

Of his new promotion, Cumming, who served as CEO of Nomadics for 11 years prior to the company’s merger with ICx, said that he was “excited” to lead the firm as it strives to become a more “nimble and efficient organization.”
