A new reference book aimed at integrating systems is being published by the TM Forum, the trade association announced on Monday.
The book, "Application Integration Using the SID," written by John Reilly of the TM Forum and John Wilmes of Progress Software, is the latest in a series focused on how to adopt and apply the TM Forum’s New Generation Operations Systems and Software (NGOSS) program.
Among the topics covered by the book include:
• Introduction to application integration frameworks • Process steps for employing the SID within an integration framework • SID-based contracts, services and API’s • Tool support for SID-based integration frameworks • Real world case studiesThe book also explains how to use the TM Forum Information Framework to overcome typical challenges stemming from integration in data mapping and interface design.
The TM Forum is comprised of service providers, network operators, software suppliers, equipment suppliers and systems integrators.
