New facility offers additional space, enhanced training facility

Securitas Systems USA, an integration and technical/electronic security services firm, has moved the location of its U.S. corporate headquarters. The move wasn't a drastic, shifting the location from one suburb of Atlanta, Ga. (Norcross), to another (Duluth, Ga.) and gaining some additional space.

According to Carole Enman, director of business development for Securitas Systems USA, besides hosting the IT group for the company, senior management and meeting space, the new facility is a lab of sorts.

"There is a product testing lab there," said Enman of the new headquarters location. "We test and use different products to secure our space that we sell and install in others as well, and we, of course, select the most up to date technology to do this."

The move allowed for some expansion; the old facility measured in at 16,000 square feet, while the new Duluth facility has 20,000 square feet. That space, besides being the location for senior management and IT, also holds some customer support positions, a customer training center, a warehouse, as well as the human resources and recruiting departments.

The training center is one key component to the new space, and can be set up as one or two classrooms, with seating for up to 40 trainees. Breakout rooms, all with new presentation/training technologies, surround the main training center. According to Chief Operating Officer Marty Guay, the enhanced training center a strong motivation for the move, and was designed for both customer and employee training.

Additionally, the new Duluth location is adjacent to the company's Atlanta regional office. Phone and fax numbers will stay the same; the new address is 2400 Commerce Ave., Building 1100, Suite 400, Duluth, GA 30096.
