Aug. 10--Developers in Myers Park have plans to build a new residential building in Myers Park.
The project, dubbed 2100 Queens Road West, will be near the intersection of Selwyn Avenue.
According to a rezoning petition, the building would include 42 residential units. A Sept. 15 public hearing is planned.
Other tidbits in the notebook:
East Charlotte: A Michigan construction company has filed a rezoning request to build a new apartment complex in east Charlotte.
The Pine Village Apartments would include 52 units on East W.T. Harris Boulevard, near Wallace Avenue.
The two buildings would each be three stories tall. An Oct. 20 hearing is scheduled.
Center City: Citiline Resortline Properties plans to build a shopping center near Seigle Avenue and East 10th Street.
The one-acre site would become home to a pedestrian-oriented neighborhood center, according to a rezoning petition filed with the city.
The building would potentially include a retailer with one drive-through lane. An Oct. 20 hearing is scheduled.
East Charlotte: A property owner in Mooresville has filed a request asking to convert a vacant SunTrust bank branch into space for retail use.
The site is at 6700 Albemarle Road, not far from East W.T. Harris Boulevard.
