Hirsch VP to present on HSPD-12 to Congress

Zivney representing SIA interests on HSPD-12 implementation process

Rob Zivney, vice president of marketing at Hirsch Electronics, will be representing the Security Industry Association (SIA) at a meeting of the U.S. House Subcommittee on Oversight and Government Reform on Wednesday, April 9 in Washington.

The purpose of Zivney's presentation is to voice SIA positions as related to the ongoing implementation of HSPD-12, the presidential mandate for converged physical and logical access and identity management. Zivney's presentation, part of the hearing "Federal Security: ID Cards and Background Checks", comes as the GAO prepares for an updated report on HSPD-12 progress.

The hearing will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at 2247 Rayburn House Office Building, in Washington, D.C.

Hirsch Electronics, where Zivney is employed, provides access control and security management solutions. In addition to a full suite of solutions for the commercial sector, the company has developed products and solutions specific to federal security measures and mandates.
