City takes standard route of higher fines for false alarm offenders

KFDX-TV in Wichita Falls, Texas, reports that the City Council is considering an update to the town's existing alarm ordinance.

Faced with a false alarm rate of greater than 90 percent, and with police taxed by responding to over 5,000 alarms in 2005, KFDX reports that the council will vote this week on ordinance updates that would increase fines for false alarms.
