Man allegedly fired shots at security detail after being led from the club

Oct. 24--Horry County Police have arrested and charged a 22-year-old suspect in a nightclub shooting that happened earlier this month.

Curvey Tomine Vereen of Longs was charged with assault with intent to kill, police said today in a news release.

According to the release, the shooting happened Oct. 13 at the G-Spot Club at 2636 S.C. 90 in Longs. Police said the suspect was led from the club after being involved in a fight. He then fired several shots at security as he was leaving, police said.

Detectives identified Vereen as the suspect after an investigation, the release said, and on Monday were able to locate and arrest him in Longs.
