Zicom Launches Home Security System for Indian Market

System networks with home and monitoring station, provides video capabilities

Mumbai, May 10 (PTI) Zicom Electronic Security Systems Ltd has forayed into the consumer segment with the launch of a security system for Indian homes -- ZICOMhome.

The key elements of the product includes a main panel, the Central Monitoring Station (CMS) and Video Monitoring Station (VMS). The CMS networks with the home, every time the system is armed, thereby, enabling the company's executives to monitor homes all the time, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Using the VMS facility, any intrusion can be viewed live or the consumer can see the recorded images later, it said.

The security systems provide insurance cover of upto Rs 3 lakh on burglary to consumers who have availed of the CMS facility and free replacement of ZICOMhome products within the warranty period.

"We have been constantly working, towards offering state-of-the-art yet affordable security solutions to the retail consumers. Today, with the launch of this division, we have been able to offer a bouquet of security solutions to the people of the country," company Chairman Manohar Bidaye said.

The company has set up Central Monitoring Stations in Mumbai with other cities being connected through a receiver.

The company's shares were trading at Rs 253, up 4.27 per cent at the BSE.
