Companies partner for sharing of IP video protocols, technology development

On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc., better known as OnSSI, has joined Panasonic Security Systems' Panasonic Solution Developer Network (PSDN). The partnership brings aboard OnSSI's IP-based video management solutions with Panasonic's network-ready (i-Pro) video surveillance camera technologies.

The PSDN allows for Panasonic's partners to work with sharing of technical information and network protocol design parameters to allow the diverse companies products to better integrate.

OnSSI's V.P. of Sales Mulli Diamant said that working with network camera vendors like Panasonic was part of the strategic plan for his company as they push for interoperability.

"OnSSI is committed to delivering a non-proprietary and open architecture solution that is the most advanced, comprehensive and intelligent IP video surveillance solution in the market," said Diamant in a statement announcing the partnership with Panasonic. "Our collaboration with Panasonic is a reflection of our commitment to work with the leading camera manufacturers in the market, and essential to achieving this goal."
