InGrid system offered along with monitoring from Guardian Protection Services

Having already carried the LaserShield do-it-yourself wireless home security system, consumer electronics retailer Crutchfield, is now expanding further into that market space by offering systems from InGrid.

The InGrid systems connect wirelessly between the sensors, the keypad and the communications base. The full home system, which is designed for homes up to 3,000 square feet, uses wireless window and door position sensors, and offers a keychain arm/disarm remote in addition to a standard keypad-style console.

The systems are offered between $199 and $299 in price, depending on features, and can be monitored over a broadband Internet connection by Guardian Protection Services, a nationwide alarm monitoring firm. The monitoring is optional.
