Demolition starting at site to make way fro $465M project

Demolition crews are making way for the Museum Plaza skyscraper in downtown Louisville. Clearing space is phase one in the construction of the $465 million project.

Meanwhile, developers prepared to keep lobbying in Frankfort for state financing to aid the project.

“This proposed legislation will bring thousands of new visitors to Kentucky, add nearly a billion dollars to the states economy, create more than a thousand new jobs (and) internationally promote Kentucky tourism,” Developer Craig Greenberg said.

The 61-story building will feature condos, lofts, a 300-room hotel and an art museum.
