GE Security Holds Channel Partner Conference

San Francisco event also stage for recognizing top partners

BRADENTON, FLA. – August 17, 2006 – GE’s Security business (NYSE: GE) today announced the recipients of its Security Solutions Channel Partner Awards, who were feted at a gala awards dinner on Aug. 4 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.  The 2006 GE Security Solutions Channel Partner Conference drew GE Security’s largest strategic partners and systems integrators from around the country.

“We are partners in every sense of the word,” said Bill Huber, a Security Solutions Sales Leader for GE Security.  “This mutually beneficial relationship is strengthened by the trust that we have built through consistent face-to-face meetings, regular communication and solid support.  Ultimately, GE and its Security Solutions Channel Partners have the same goals, to provide superior products and services to our end users.”

Top Video Sales:  Dowley, Inc. of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Highest Sales Volume: Dowley, Inc. of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Channel Partner of the Year, Southeast Region: Vision Southeast, Inc. of Pelham, Ala.

Channel Partner of the Year, Western Region: Climate, Inc. of Phoenix, Ariz.

Channel Partner of the Year, Eastern Region:  Intelli-Tec Security Systems of Westbury, N.Y.

Channel Partner of the Year, Central Region:  TEMSCO, Inc. of Irving Texas

President’s Award:  Intelli-Tec Security Systems of Westbury, N.Y.

At the conference, participants also learned about a new 2-tier channel program built around products, support, commitment and accountability.  The program focus is to help Security Solutions Channel Partners grow their businesses by offering dedicated, regional customer service representatives and hotlines, superior technical support, training credits, advertising programs, and project leads.  Financial incentives will include a simplified, preferred pricing structure, co-op advertising, a special compensation program, and attractive new terms and financing. 

Earlier this year, GE Security revised all of its channel partner programs and tailored each to specific channel types.  The Security Solutions Channel Partner program is based on detailed inputs from GE Security’s present Strategic Partners from the fire and life safety and sound & communications businesses.
