The central campus of the State of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is getting an access control makeover.
After submitting a request for bids, the department has settled on a solution from security firm BSI2000 and integrator Systems Integration Corp. (SI) of Niwot, Colo.
The award will bring BSI2000's MAXXNET2000 access control system to the department's campus, which is located in Denver is the daytime home to 1,200 employees. The system, according to a release from BSI2000 will feature "complete entry exit access control and monitoring throughout the campus."
The MAXXNET2000 system features such tools biometrics, federally certified cryptographic hardware and software modules, RFID, contact and contactless smartcards, optical cards, real-time sensor and video data, plus a variety of connection options, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and long-range RF.
Systems Integration Corporation, which expects to complete the project this spring, is a member of National Security Integrators, a cooperative of integration firms in the electronic security industry.
