RSA Security Records Second Quarter Results

Company generates record revenue of $94.4M and record bookings of $108.7M
RSA Security, which is starting the process of being acquired by EMC Security, today reported financials for its second quarter.

The quarter, which ended on June 30, saw revenues at $94.4 million, a 23 percent increase over the same quarter a year earlier. The company reported net income for the quarter at $2.8 million, down from $8.5 million in the same quarter a year earlier.

CEO and president of RSA Security Art Coviello said the results reflected an "outstanding quarter," noting that the company had seen both record revenues and record orders. "We continue to be successful at growing all areas of our business, and we are excited about the market potential of all of our solutions," said Coviello in a statement regarding the quarterly results.
