The BBC has reported that UK-based Rentokil is selling its manned guard services. Rentokil Initial, known also in the security industry as Initial Security, is a diversified company that has recently expanded its services business in the pest control sector, and has divisions in building services, couriering, linen and garment services and other general facilities services.
According to the BBC report, the announcement that Rentokil would sell off its Manned Guarding division follows the company's decision to close its linen and garments care division, a decision announced on Jan. 25, 2006.
The security division offers guard patrol, surveillance monitoring and general security work.
