Fines on books since 2005, now being enforced

Though they've had an ordinance on the books since 1979, and fines in place since 2005, it was reported this week by news website HuntingtonNews.net that the city is beginning to enforce the alarm policies.

The city has recently approved budget money for a system to track false alarm violators, and is reportedly fining those who have repeated false alarms. The first false alarm is not fined, but the second false alarm in a month's time will cost the system owner/user $100. The third false alarm in the month is fined $200, and the fourth and additional false calls in that month are fined $400 for each instance.
