Pelco COO becomes president and CEO

Jan. 23, 2008
Dean Meyer replaces 20-year president David McDonald

Pelco is getting a major change in leadership as David McDonald steps down from the presidency of Pelco and as Dean Meyer moves into the President/CEO position. Meyer was brought into Pelco in November 2007 as chief operating officer (COO), and has a background of many years at Pelco's parent company Schneider Electric and TAC (a division of Schneider Electric).

Meyer worked in a number of management positions in TAC, and had been president of TAC Americas for the last seven years. He moved from Dallas (where TAC Americas is based) to the area near Clovis, Calif., to work with Pelco.

Although McDonald is departing the president/CEO position, the Pelco veteran won't be entirely absent from the video systems product developer; rather, he will remain in place as Chairman of the Board for Pelco.
