NFPA members will be able to vote on the NFPA 730, which provides a "Guide for Premises Security", and NFPA 731, "The Standard for the Installation of Electronic Premises Security Systems", during the NFPA World Conference and Exposition, which is scheduled for June 8-10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The CSAA, a member of NFPA Premises Security Committee that developed the 730 and 731 standards, said in a statement on Thursday that, although "members of CSAA have some issues with the proposed NFPA 731 Standard," the organization believes that the current issues will be resolved before acceptance.
